Book Club: The Sorcery Code

Good morning to all!

I hope your days have been fantastic and your nights have been snuggly!

I've been doing some reading again, and was given a copy of The Sorcery Code by Dima Zales & Anna Zaires in return for an honest review!

The Sorcery Code

I started reading this book one day while I was on the bus on the way to work. I did initially find that it was a little bit hard to get into, however once the story kicked off, it absolutely captivated me! I have found that sci-fi is not a genre of book that I like to read, however even though some people may classify this as sci-fi, it didn't seem to be. It was more fantasy than anything!

"Once a respected member of the Sorcerer Council and now an outcast, Blaise has spent the last year of his life working on a special magical object. The goal is to allow anyone to do magic, not just the sorcerer elite. The outcome of his quest is unlike anything he could've ever imagined - because, instead of an object, he creates Her."

This story follows Blaise who has removed himself from the Sorcerer Council after disagreeing with the way his brothers case was handled. Blaise feels that magic should be available to everyone, and not just to the sorcerers. So he goes about creating an object for everyone to use. Imagine his surprise though, when it turns out that the life experiences and memories that he had been using, have influenced the object into taking a female form who goes by the name of Gala.

Once I got into the story, I couldn't put t down! Just like Oasis by Dima Zales, I am eagerly anticipating the second book to this series!

I would give this five out of five stars!

Let me know in the comments if there's been any books you've read and been enjoying lately!

Keep smiling!

Love, D xx
