January Catch Up: One Month Down, Eleven To Go!

Happy Hump Day!

I started writing this on the 26th of January and time has just escaped me! I had planned to get this up on the 30th and another post on the 31st, but have failed in that aspect of my planning.

So after that brief explanation, please enjoy the following post!

As we’re nearing the end of the wonderful first month of 2016, I thought I would do an update as promised!

So January. How’s it been so far, you ask. Well, I can definitely say things have gotten off to a slow start! A very slow start!

I received my Erin Condren Life Planner and have so far just put the bare minimum into it. I’d like to get some more stickers and washi tape to decorate it and make planning fun!

Erin Condren Planner - Last week

I am still so excited about moving to WordPress, however am still sorting out the domain name and host for it! It’s still there and the move is still in the works! Trust me! As soon as everything sorted, you’ll be the first to know! After my partner Ben, of course!

Most of my days this month have been full of thinking about what I could write about and trying to come up with ideas, yet having barely any. I read a post from a blog called Zie Darling called 10(ish) Tips To Create Your Own Writing Ritual which gave me a lot of insight as to how I could go about writing my posts.

I’ve had a couple of moments where I’ve felt like the post ideas that I have come up with, won’t be good enough or they just won’t make sense once I type them out. However, I have been thinking about doing a post about making up my face and trying to do winged eyeliner and other make up looks. Maybe even incorporating a short time lapse video of me going about my face caking! Otherwise it’ll just be all pictures. :)

General Life Goals

Now to have a look into what I have achieved so far with my general life goals.

Getting healthy has not been started just yet, however I am planning to order Lite N Easy for this week which will be good!

I have very much failed with drinking more water as well. So far being back at work has been super busy and I just haven’t had the chance to get up out of my chair and go to the water cooler. In the first four weeks of this year, there have been a lot of tears, swear words and snot show up because of how stressful things have been. But I'll just have to take it one day at a time, otherwise I'll explode!

I did have a problem with my mobile phone however it has now been reconnected, and all it took was a complaint to the ombudsman after initially being told it would be reconnected once I had payed the bill in full in 30 days. Once I had paid that bill, the provider decided to do a total 180 flip and declined my request to have it reconnected. I had to take it to the ombudsman as I just wanted to keep the same number that I have had for years! It seems silly, however it’s just such a big thing for me to go through all of the companies that have my contact number and change it all.

Apart from the phone bill though, I am working out my finances and figuring out exactly how much I will have left at the end of my other bills which is a fantastic thing!

As for passport, I do currently have an application in my hot little hands! But I just need to fill it out and get glamour shots done where I’m looking like the saddest person around! For my driver’s licence though I do need to find where I put my experience logbook, and I also need to fill out an exemption form so I don’t have to do the whole 100 hours of driving. Knowing me however, I’ll end up doing more than the 100 hours needed even if I am granted the exemption!

As today is now Australia Day, I would have absolutely loved to spend the day at the beach, however storms are predicted so it would not be the best idea to follow though with! I did get as close to the beach as going up to Redcliffe though!

I’ve also made it a goal of mine to stop biting my nails, and so far, out of the 10 finger nails I have, 5 of them are pretty decent! The other 5 are not progressing as they should be! Well not as bad as some of those pictures on Google would be if you looked up nail biting.

Hmm! It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! Just a lot of people looking extremely worried.

I’ve also been thinking about finally looking into planning our wedding! So there will hopefully be a lot of dresses that I like floating around, for both myself and my amazing bridesmaids!

How are you going with your new years goals?

I hope you enjoyed your fresh start to the new year!

Keep Smiling!

Love, D xx
